Warriors mascot Chad Wirtzfeld is currently in hospital in Germany following a high speed crash last Sunday afternoon at the Bielefeld track.
Riding in the 250 cc world long track under 18 best pairs championship with partner Jake Mulford, Chad clipped the back of an opponent and fell heavily. He was taken to hospital and has had surgery on a broken arm and is waiting on nerve damage assessment.
Despite the fall, Chad and Jake still had sufficient points to claim second place on the day and would have quite possibly won the event outright.
Everyone wishes 14 year old Chad a speedy recovery.
