The National League Riders Championship takes place this coming Sunday at Scunthorpe.

Originally scheduled for Leicester on September 21, bad weather forced a postponement and a subsequent switch of venue.

Warriors Ben Morley will be out to retain the title that he won for the second time last year. Originally he was to have been the club's sole representative, however the new date has given Danno Verge sufficient time to recover from his crash at the beginning of August and he will line up in a high class field that features all the available top National League stars and is sure to serve up a feast of close action on the well regarded Lincolnshire track.

Having completed his riding suspension and returned to racing, Georgie Wood was invited to take part in the re-staged meeting, but was unable to take up the offer as he had already committed to ride in a grass track meeting on the new date.
